What Customers Say About SanDisk Sansa e260 4 GB MP3 Player with MicroSD Expansion Slot (Black:

The device has been around for awhile and has proved its value. No, it is not the smallest, lightest mp3 out there, but it is reasonably priced, sturdy, user friendly, has a changeable battery (haven't had to do that yet), and storage space is virtually unlimited with the micro sd cards. I have had this mp3 player for two years. Two years without problems and thousands of hours of enjoyable music listening. If you are looking for a good mp3 player, consider this one.

Some of them are picky about brand, and seem to prefer SanDisk microSD. Tasteful design, obviously influenced by iPod. Back cover is screwed down; don't know if the battery is replaceable. Sansa firmware can only use 2GB of flash, but rockbox (see below) is up to 8GB or 16GB; I don't remember which. Built-in place to attach a lanyard.

Other pro: large screen area given the size of the player. Don't have to use iTunes. You'll be able to play flac, ogg, etc, and be able to play video without using that Sansa media conversion monstrosity. On my c2xx Sansa player there is a battery cover for easy accessibility.Sansa firmware is generally capable but v1 e2xx players will enter an entirely new level of functionality and customizability with rockbox (rockbox dot org). Truly useful multi-bookmarking features are a godsend for audiobook and podcasters that hop around instead of listening to one thing at a time. Still getting used to that. It's a cheap way to add more memory.

Conspiracy. FM and ability to record from it. The v2 players (03.xxxxx, oddly enough)will also run rockbox but that version isn't 100% yet. Almost like a tivo; stop any file whereever you want and restart it later.Note: v1 players have firmware that starts out 01.xxxxxx. I am a fan of Sansa players, as they frequently have expansion slots for microSD cards. Bigger than any microSD I own, for sure.I am not entirely convinced by the ring-style interface. Yay.Other cons: proprietary USB connector (boo).; should be miniUSB.

I won't hesitate to buy from this manufacturer for my next MP3 purchase. It is quite a durable piece of equipment. I bought this item almost two years ago and it still works great. It is easy to use, and you dont have to buy the songs from the manufacturer (always a plus). I have probably dropped it a dozen times, spilled things on it, and it still works without any issues.

Slim, small, able to jog with it.Would purchase from seller again. Very pleased with product. Familiar with product prior to purchase. Arrived faster than when previously ordered direct from Mfg. Wasn't looking for over-the-top technological MP3, just wanted to take my Brazilian music with me.

This MP3 player is a waste of time don't bother buying it, I bought it in January and it broke within 60 days, I e-mailed SanDisk for a replacement and it came 2 days later and the screen cracked within 40 days, and It cracked AGAIN last month. It's sound quality is OK it's not the best, the video quality is so-so and the pictures are fine, but the fact that the screen keeps cracking is making me really angry and each time the screen cracked I was sitting with the Sansa in my hand and I brought it to my face and it cracks.PROS:It is somewhat portable but to big for a pants pocketIt can hold a good amount of songsIt has good sound quality (not the best I've Heard)The ear-buds are comfortableSanDisk's Customer service is goodCons: Screen keeps CrackingIt doesn't hold all forms of music and converting music takes a long time and most of the time it doesn't workIt doesn't always put the artist on the player when it's CLEARLY on my PCThe Radio and mic recording functions are crap and most of the time you can hear popping beeping and fizzing when attempting to record somethingIt doesn't have good Radio reception and you have to be near a window and sometimes that doesn't even workOverall this gets a 3/10, it was really good when I first got it and then it just crapped out on me and I had to get a new one which is breaking and I haven't even had it for more than 6-7 months I want my money back.
